What technicians can change on a job

Decide whether technicians keep updating a job after sending it for approval, and whether team leads add photos and signatures to their members' jobs.

Two switches in Account Settings, in the Maintenance Request Permissions section, decide how long technicians can update a job and what a team lead can add to a member's job. Both are on for every account until you turn them off.

Jobs sent for approval

When your company approves the work before a job is completed, the technician sends the job for approval at the end of the visit.

  • Technicians can keep updating jobs sent for approval on: until you approve the job, the technician can still add photos, notes, services and materials, change the visit time and the team, and take the signatures. Use it when you often ask for a missing photo or a receipt before approving. If the bill changes after the customer signed, the customer is asked to sign again.
  • Off: the job is locked for your technicians and team leads as soon as it is sent for approval. If something is missing, send the job back to the technician. Nabeeh support staff can still update it.

Team leads on their members' jobs

A team lead sees the jobs of their team members, even when they are not assigned to them.

  • Team leads can add photos and signatures to their members' jobs on: the team lead can add and delete photos and take the technician's and the customer's signatures on a member's job, and nothing else. Notes, materials, services, answers, tax invoices and the price stay with the assigned technicians.
  • Off: the team lead can only view a member's job and manage the team on it. Only the assigned technicians update the job.

In both cases a team lead manages only their own team members, and only the assigned technicians start, pause and complete the job and chat on it.

Set it up

  1. Open Account Settings and find Maintenance Request Permissions.
  2. Turn Technicians can keep updating jobs sent for approval and Team leads can add photos and signatures to their members' jobs on or off.
  3. Save.

The change applies the next time a technician opens a job.
